This book contains two papers: an overview of the development and impact of National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and General National Vocational Qualifications (GNVQs) in the United Kingdom Author: Cordula Zabel. GNVQs are often criticized for having low pass rates. For GNVQ Advanced Leisure and Tourism, the figure for June was per cent. This compares with a pass rate of per cent for GNVQ Intermediate Leisure and Tourism and per cent for GNVQ Foundation Leisure and Tourism. Some 4, out of , new entrants in /06 had just one or two low-grade A-levels, while 5, had vocational A-levels or GNVQs only. The scale of non-completion at some institutions raises.
